The story of KEH RAW

KEH RAW begins with its founder, Ydalgo Boris Mougnol A Nwom from Cameroon. The brand is distinguished by its commitment to ethical sourcing, obtaining minerals directly from various parts of Africa. KEH RAW engages solely with adult miners, ensuring fair trade practices and strictly avoiding child labor. Each stone is chosen for its quality and uniqueness. In keeping with the philosophy of preserving the natural essence of these minerals, KEH RAW aims to maintain the stones in their most natural state, believing that this approach enhances their power and authenticity.

In addition to these carefully selected stones, KEH RAW incorporates silver and gold into its designs. These precious metals are responsibly purchased from Germany, adhering to the same fair trade principles. At the heart of KEH RAW's ethos is Boris's extensive experience, spanning a decade, in the world of stones. This expertise is evident in every piece created, showcasing a blend of traditional craftsmanship and a deep respect for nature's gifts.

The story of Boris

Boris arrived in Germany to play basketball in the country's first league. His journey takes an unexpected turn when he sustains an injury during contract negotiations. During his recovery, a casual stroll through a Berlin market leads him to a remarkable discovery. He is captivated by a vendor selling stones, a sight that triggers a vivid childhood memory. Growing up in the village of Baffia-Biamo, he recalls being drawn to a local spot abundant in beautiful stones. There, he would collect these stones and creatively turn them into decorations. His grandmother, unsure of this unusual hobby, often scolded him out of concern. To avoid losing his cherished visits to the village, Boris eventually abandoned this passion, focusing instead on academics and sports.

This chance encounter in Berlin reignites his long-forgotten interest. Wondering if it's possible to market minerals, Boris connects with Oscar from Sweden, who introduces him to the world of jewelry making. This marks the start of Boris's new path, where he rediscovers his childhood connection to stones, feeling a deep sense of grounding and purpose. He begins designing unique jewelry pieces, incorporating stones into his creations. Taking these designs to the market, he is met with enthusiasm and support, which further motivates him. His venture grows as he starts sourcing stones from Africa.

In 2014, inspired by a customer, Boris establishes 'KEHRAW.' He begins selling his jewelry in Berlin markets and, encouraged by numerous customer and friend requests, plans to expand online. This marks a new chapter in his life, one where he embraces his true calling and connects his past with his present.
